The Urban Squirrel is locally owned by Vance and Christie Evans. Christie has been in the storage business for 7 years prior to the purchase of this property. Christie (Active Role) operates as the manager, responsible for all day-to-day operations and decisions around the business. Vance (Passive Role) will remain on call as needed, as he is actively involved in the reclaimed wood business.
The Urban Squirrel is the newest “state of the art”, climate-controlled storage facility in the Bluegrass. Our advanced “SecurGuard” Technology will be installed inside each storage door, offering additional security for customers!
Squirrels store “nuts” and people store everything. We sought to make the most safe and secure facility, located less than 2 miles from Downtown Lexington, University of Kentucky, and the surrounding residential areas.
The Urban Squirrel also offers meeting space and office/event space, as well as warehousing! We have many options for customers and all their storage needs!
